Experience thermal springs
Audio 2
Most of the 65 thermal springs of Leukerbad, the hottest by the way with 51°C on the village square of Leukerbad,
have their origin in the area of the Dala Gorge.
The spring water comes from the Torrent area, where it percolates as rain or melting snow water to depths up to 600 meters below sea level.
At this depth it is naturally heated. It takes 40 years for the water to flow up to the surface collecting minerals as it passes through the innumerable mineral enriched rock strata to finally source many of our relaxing thermal bathing pools.
